New Hotel Concept
Look for the area’s first aloft hotel to open in fall 2008. The aloft will be in the planned West Broad Village project in western Henrico County.
The hotel is a new concept – with loft-like designs including exposed beams and structural steel – created by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. and its W Hotels divisions. Starwood is opening dozens of the aloft locations.
The aloft planned for West Broad Village will be above the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, said Kim Schlick, director of marketing for the LTD Management Co., the Chesapeake-based hotel development and management group that will operate the local unit.
The hotel will have 135 guest rooms with 9-foot ceilings, over-sized windows and large flat-panel high-definition televisions.
